Dr Gengxin Zhang is a Research Fellow at the School of Engineering, within the Vehicle Technology Research Center. His work largely focusses on the EPSRC project of “Premixed Combustion Flame Instability Characteristics”, and in particular, on the combustion and utilization of low/ zero-carbon energy fuels.

Biography

Dr. Gengxin Zhang earned a Ph.D.in Mechanical Systems Engineering in 2022 from Hiroshima University, Japan, marking a significant milestone in his academic journey. Currently, he serves as a Research Fellow at the ϳԹ's School of Engineering, within the Vehicle Technology Research Center. His contributions to the field are substantial, with more than 20 peer-reviewed papers and 3 patents that underscore his significant impact. He has received the Young Scientist Award and the SAE Best Paper Award in the past. Moreover, he plays an active role in the academic ϳԹ, both as a guest editor for the special issue of "Sustainability" and as a peer reviewer for prestigious journals such as "Applied Energy", "International Journal of Hydrogen Energy", “Sustainable Energy & Fuels”,"Scientific Reports", and "International Journal of Automotive Manufacturing and Materials”
