Pixel Flesh
- Location
- The Exchange 3 Centenary Square Birmingham B1 2DR
- Dates
- Wednesday 22 October 2025 (18:30-20:00)
Join author Ellen Atlanta and academic Jwana Aziz for a powerful conversation exploring the impact of beauty culture, social media and digital pressures on young women’s mental health.
Drawing on Ellen’s new book Pixel Flesh, a bold examination of how filters, editing apps and cosmetic ideals distort our self-image, they’ll unpack what it means to grow up online. With a focus on body image, empowerment and the hidden costs of digital beauty, this is a vital event for anyone concerned with the wellbeing of girls in a hyper-visual age.
Tickets for this event are £5 per person.
To make our events as accessible as possible, we are also offering a limited number of free Solidarity Tickets. For more info on Solidarity tickets, go to our ticketing information page.
