Join Professor Sarah Montano for her inaugural lecture "The Good Place: Trying to be Better Today Than Yesterday".
In this inaugural lecture Professor Sarah Montano will draw on inspiration from the NBC TV show "The Good Place" to explore the dynamic world of retail and why retail is not just about transactions but why retailers are our ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Good Places that enable us as a society to thrive. There is an endless discussion around saving our high streets, and so we explore why SOS, or “Save Our Streets”, is essential for people’s wellbeing.
In “Trying to be Better Today Than Yesterday”, Sarah will show how retailers, councils and governments need to be better to help create meaningful connections with customers, shaping experiences and fostering a sense of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø. In the second part of this lecture, Sarah will explore how she tries to be better today than yesterday and how this simple act has led to some incredible academic opportunities.
Welcome to the (retail) Good Place – Everything is Fine!
The event will be followed by a drinks reception.
