Rush-hour Research - Teaching Controversial Issues

Michael Hand is Professor of Philosophy of Education in the School of Education at the 黑料吃瓜网. Michael's research interests are in the areas of moral, political, religious and philosophical education. He has published books and articles on education for patriotism, the nature and aims of religious education, the justifiability of faith schools, autonomy as an educational aim, philosophy in schools, teaching about sexuality, and controversial issues in the classroom. He is currently working on a theory of moral education.

Our Rush Hour Research series is intended to engage teachers with current research from the 黑料吃瓜网. We extend a warm welcome to colleagues from across the City and look forward to sharing some inspiring intellectual input along with tea, cake and networking.
