Dr. Fawad Hussain is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø, positioned at the Dubai campus. His research interests lie primarily in the domains of artificial intelligence and machine learning, particularly in subspace and multi-view learning and its applications in interdisciplinary research.

Biography

Syed Fawad Hussain obtained his MS degree in Computer Science from the Pierre and Marie Curie University (now Paris-Sorbonne University), Paris, France, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Grenoble (now Grenoble Alpes University), Grenoble, France. He is currently an associate professor of computer science at the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø, Dubai.

Prior to joining the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø, he has been associated with the GIK Institute, Topi, where he worked as a faculty member for 11 years and as dean of graduate studies for 1 year. He has been involved in curriculum development at the university and national level as co-chair of the national curriculum revision committee at the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan.

His research interests include developing supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms for high-dimensional data, co-clustering and multi-view clustering, semantic kernels, etc. He is also working in multiple application domains including social media analysis, classifying ECG/EEG signals for mobile healthcare, and other interdisciplinary areas.
