Imogen is currently researching the use of birds as bioindicators of plastic pollution in the terrestrial environment. Funded by CENTA (NERC).

Teaching

  • Postgraduate Teaching Assistant within ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø undergraduate modules including:
    BIO145 Introduction to Evolution & Animal Biology, School of Biosciences. Marking practical assessment reports and assisting with laboratory demonstrations.

Other activities

  • Policy Internship at WRAP (2022), via the UKRI Policy Internships scheme. Worked as an analyst within the Policy and Insights team.
  • Delivered a lecture at the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø, on Urban Ecology, for Year 12 students. This involved lecturing a group of students, followed by leading a discussion group and running a practical (2019). https://aimhigherwm.ac.uk/about/
  • APHA, Home Office Wild Mammal and Bird Training course (2019).
  • Research Assistant at Queen Mary University of London, working with Dr Robert Lachlan on bird song evolution (2016). Research group has since moved to Royal Holloway University of London ().
