Alisi is a health policy researcher with a background in medical anthropology and extensive experience in qualitative methods. Her research interests include the ethics of public engagement, qualitative methods and organisational culture shift.

Biography

Alisi is a health policy researcher with a background in medical anthropology and extensive experience in qualitative methods. Her research interests include the ethics of public engagement, qualitative methods and organisational culture shift.

Prior to joining BRACE, Alisi examined general practice and organisational responses to the Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) and the General Practice Patient Survey (GPPS) for her PhD thesis at Kings College, London. She brings over 10 years’ experience working in the NHS (in Public Health) and time spent at The Innovation Unit, Cabinet Office and DHSC. She has recently finished working on the UKRI-funded Future Flight Social Science Research Programme investigating perspectives of marginalised and minoritised communities’ perspectives on a just, sustainable public transport system.

Dr Alisi Mekatoa is an experienced and skilled social researcher with a PhD in Health Policy and Organisation Studies, which builds on her previous degrees in Social Anthropology & Political Sciences (BA) and Medical Sociology (MSc). Dr Alisi Mekatoa designs and delivers bespoke research study designs using appropriate and ethical tools. She is an experienced communicator and have many years managing stakeholder relationships. She has experience in delivering organizational change and establishing new working habits and cultures.
